Your visit to Goričko Nature Park will surely be unforgettable, especially when visiting one of the largest castles in Slovenia. Grad Castle can be visited by individuals and families either on their own or with a guide. If you choose a guided tour (at least 5 people), prior registration is required.

During a self-guided tour of the castle, a brochure with a brief history of the castle and an overview of the exhibition spaces will assist you. You can pick it up upon purchasing your ticket at the Visitor Center. You can stroll through the exhibition areas, ethnological workshops, natural history displays, and the chapel with its antechamber. The Upper Courtyard offers a view of the entire complex and impresses with its size. Take a walk through the castle park, where the majestic shade of tulip trees, red beeches, and plane trees provides a space for relaxation.
For younger visitors, the legend of the dragon Kač, who awaits you in one of the rooms, sparks the imagination. The castle park also features playgrounds, where children can play and have fun in the shade of centuries-old trees.
The castle offers a special adventure for the young and young at heart: explore the castle and search for its mysterious inhabitant. Ask at the Visitor Center for the secret map, which will guide you to seven challenges. The correct answers will reveal the secret inhabitant of the castle and lead you to a mini prize.

You can continue your castle tour in the nearby village and visit the Vulkanija Adventure Park. Combined tickets are available at the Visitor Center in the castle. For individual tours, we recommend audio guides, which provide descriptions of 26 rooms, exhibitions, the legend, and other interesting facts about the castle. The recordings are available in Slovene, German, English, and Hungarian. A map with marked points and basic information will assist you. The use of audio guides is free of charge.
